Gary and I had a later flight than the rest of the crew, so the original plan was for us to meet up with everyone a few hours later in Osaka. However, we ended up missing our flight to Tokyo for reasons completely beyond our control.

We may have gotten into an intense Bomberman match on our 3DS’s and missed our boarding call, but what really happened? Nobody knows.

So, our first day consisted of missing a flight, getting a nice Aeroplan agent to rebook a flight for us, missing another flight in LA (for legit reasons this time – plane crapped out), and getting a paid-for hotel room. The next morning we had a ballin steak’n’eggs breakfast courtesy of Air Canada and flew out to Osaka.

Excellent start to the trip!
